Are you an Integrative Lawyer?
Integrative Law is an approach to law that treats lawyers and clients as whole people and puts values, relationships, and purpose at the center of legal work. Integrative lawyers still use legal skills, but they aim past winning to solving the real problem, healing conflict where possible, and leaving people and communities better off.
It is not a practice area, a set of tools, or even a model of law practice. It is a way of being that influences how law is practiced, no matter what the practice area, skillset, or model.
We created this questionnaire for a workshop in South Africa a few years ago. We’ve found that the more True/Yes answers you have, the more likely you are to be an Integrative Lawyer.
